Kinga Krupa is a classical pianist and piano teacher, with 15+ years of teaching experience in Poland, Ireland and New Zealand. She helps children learn piano in a fun and engaging way from the comfort of their homes using her unique approach, the TEPET methodology. She believes that a thorough musical education gives a child the best chance to develop their creativity, mind power, determination, ability to concentrate and enjoyment coming from music learning.
Her musical education journey began in her hometown, beneath the Tatra mountains in her native Poland. The daily routine was “normal” school during the day, followed by attending a publicly funded music school in the evenings. Being exposed to various musical subjects each evening gave her a thorough base for understanding music which became her life passion and led to her purpose of teaching and performing music.
After graduating her BMus(Hons) in Piano Performance and Teaching in Poland, and BSc(Hons) in History, she was lucky enough to travel, live in Spain and Ireland before moving to New Zealand in 2017, where she completed a Master of Musical Arts (MMA) in Piano Performance.
She has had the privilege of working in person and online with a lot of families, teaching piano, history of music, music theory and ear training to children and adults of all ages. Her students received distinctions in Trinity College London and Royal Irish Academy of Music Piano and Theory Exams, from Initial to Grade 8.
On an everyday basis, Kinga teaches, performs, organises performances opportunities for her students, and co-organises festivals. She also is a public speaker specialising in Music Performance Anxiety.
